    *                 Version 1 Release 2                          *
    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: DBRF didn't check if an allocation of *
    *                      work data set for ISPTABL/ISPTABU       *
    * succeeded or not. The result was *
    * that it showed incorrect database *
    * organization for specified database. *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    The error occurs when user specifies long high-level qualifier
    for work data sets when user starts DB Repair. Constructed
    work data set name exceeds 44 bytes and allocation fails, but
    DBRF does not show any error messages. As a result, DBRF shows
    incorrect database organization on initial selection panel.

Problem conclusion

  • FABZMAIN has been fixed to issue error messages MSGFABZ100W or
    MSGFABZ035W when allocation of an internal work data set for
    ISPTABL/ISPTABU failed. The message MSGFABZ100W prompts user to
    use shorter work data set qualifier.
