  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • If threads and thread details are displayed within the OLM,
module dgovdb2i is used to get the ifcid 148 and 150 data from
DB2 via READS. If the PE Server is not running, the internal
control block is not available, DGOVDB2I tries to access a
    variable, thus the abends occurs.

Local fix

  • To circumvent this abend, please have user START the PE SERVER.

    ****************************************************************
When the PE Server is not started, the ISPF Online Monitor
initializes the DB2 interface task DGOVDB2I and directly
communicates with DGOVDB2I to request DB2 performance data.
When the DB2 interface task DGOVDB2I detects an error condition
and tries to issue the appropriate message, module DGOVDB2I
    abends with code 0C4.

Problem conclusion

  • When the PE Server is not started and the ISPF Online Monitor is
used to display DB2 performance data and the DB2 interface task
module DGOVDB2I detects an error condition, the appropriate
message is issued and normal processing can be continued.
