APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • The fixes include:
    a) Invalid error message when inserting or updating with
       DECFLOAT "Error message "Invalid Data Entered for a Numeric
       Data type".
    b) Invalid error message when zooming DECFLOAT field on ETI$FORM
       "ETI093E- This is an invalid ZOOM area" and cursor positioned
       before "Column Name" (header row listing column names.
       Message should be "Expand Not Available for Floating Point
       Numbers".
    c) Truncation may occur when displaying DECFLOAT value.
    d) Null indicator problem when updating DECFLOAT value when
       table column prohibits null columns.

Local fix

  • For issue:
    a) When inserting or updating with DECFLOAT, just continue after
       getting the invalid error message.
    c) Change the Max Char Display value on ETI$MAIN to a larger
       number when truncation occurrs for DECFLOAT value.
