Error description
DURING HPU UNLOAD INVOLVING CCSID CONVERSIONS RECEIVE MSGINZU191 MSGINZU191I. * 226 * CONVERSION ROUTINE ERROR * SYSREC * ADDITIONAL SYMPTOMS: 1) Using PARALLELISM to UNLOAD a partitioned TS can cause worse performance than without parallelism. PB 8963 2. ABEND0C1 with parallelism. This occurs when: - parallelism is activated (UTLPARAL > 1) - unload statement with several select statements - at least 2 tablespaces have the same TSNAME (thus different database names) There are several ways to circumvent this problem: - add "PARALLELISM (,,1)" to the UNLOAD statement - unload tablespaces having same TSNAME in separated HPU steps. - set UTLPARAL=1 in INZTVAR member (+run INZT02) - this solution impacts all HPU steps unloaded from several tablespaces PB 8965 3) DSNT408I SQLCODE = -104, ERROR: ILLEGAL SYMBOL "^". The error is issued improperly when the SELECT includes symbols "ᆰ>" or "ᆰ<". The " not equal " sign "ᆰ" is dropped when passed by HPU to DB2. PB 8968

Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: Users of DB2 High Performance Unload. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: For HPU 220 and 310: * * 1. Conversion error occurs where the * * unload statement involves CCSID * * conversion and output field truncation. * * PB 8960 * * 2. CPU time consumption increases when * * paralellism is put into action. This * * occurs where data is unloaded from * * partitioned tablespace (or from a set * * of copy data set) and data from * * several partitions are to be merged * * into a single output data set. * * PB 8963 * * 3. Syntax error (msgINZU016E or * * SQLCODE=-104) occur where the unload * * statetment involves a basic predicate * * using the not-sign associated with * * greater than sign or less than sign * * ( !=, <!, >! , <, >, ª<, ª>). * * SQLCODE=-104 occurs only in HPU V3.1 * * if DB2 YES or DB2 FORCE is specified. * * PB 8968 * * For HPU 310: * * 4. Syntax error occurs when using * * LISTDEF definition involving other * * LISTDEF name. Msg INZT103E LISTDEF * * ERROR: INVALID DB-SPEC KEYWORD AT POS * * (col, line) is issued. * * PB 8954 * * 5. Incorrect output data or S0C1 ABEND * * when unloading data from several * * tablespaces with parallelism on. This * * occurs only if at least two * * tablespaces have the same space name * * (thus a different database name). When * * output data set are produced, data * * from tablespaces with identical names * * may be mixed up. * * PB 8965 * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: APPLY the PTF. * **************************************************************** 1. UDBCRFEL was changed so that conversion is done before truncation. 2. udbcrfel, inzpabf and udbldef were changed so that parallelism is disabled where a single output data set is associated with several partitions. 3. inzdyacc was changed to recognize the not-sign 4. inztyacc was changed to accept DB-SPEC ommission. 5. UDBSPUTS was changed to assign work data sets unique names even when tablespaces with identical space names are processed in parallel.
Problem conclusion
APPLY the PTF.
