PK49528: GEN TRIGGER SYNTAX ISSUE SELECT STATEMENT QUALIFIER IDENTIFIES INSERT TABLE NOT THE FROM TABLE

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The DB2 Administration Tool GEN function generated DDL for a
  TRIGGER statement incorrectly qualifying the SELECT statement
  columns with the INSERT table name rather than the FROM table
  name.
  Following SQL codes also observed.
  SQLCODEN20100, SQLCODEN206 and SQLCODEN225

  *                      used, GEN would qualify the transition  *
  *                      table columns wrongly.  Instead of the  *
  *                      transition table correlation name, the  *
  *                      triggered table name was used.          *

  If a trigger  had imbedded SELECT against  a transition table
  (e.g.  in an INSERT statement)  and Run SQLID was  used,  GEN
  would qualify the transition  table columns wrongly.  Instead
  of the transition table correlation name, the triggered table
  name was used.
  

Problem conclusion

• Qualification has been changed to use the transition table
  correlation name.
