Error description

  • The DB2 Object Comparision Tool batch job ends RC=16 with the
    message:
    Invalid token after PART integer - expected ENDING clause
    when processing DDL for a partitioned index.

Problem summary

    *                 with Catalog database,the results in return  *
    *                 code 16.                                     *

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: database compare, when source DDL is    *
    *                      having create unique  index with the    *
    *                      Partitions,  results in parser error    *
    *                      'Invalid Token  after PART integer -    *
    *                      expected  ENDING clause' with return    *
    *                      code 16.                                *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION: Apply The PTF.                               *
    ****************************************************************
    The  problem is due  to parser is  expecting ENDING clause when
    PARTITION BY RANGE is specified in create unique index. Changes
    are  done so that  ENDING clause keyword is optional for CREATE
    INDEX cluster.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The problem is been fixed both in V7.1 and in  V7.2.
