    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Abend S0C4 in module FABZGDBD after *
    * DBD name is entered on panel FABZP02. *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    The DBD member name is the same for both the DBDLIB entry
    and the dynamic allocation DYNLIB. DBRF processing loads
    both members for processing. When the DBDLIB member has
    been linkedited REUSE or RENT, then the subsequent LOAD of
    the dynamic allocation member incorrectly returns the entry
    address of the DBDLIB member again.

    The base pointer to the dynamic allocation member now
    incorrectly points to a DBDLIB entry. Attempting to follow
    imbedded pointers within the supposed dynamic allocation
    member eventually leads to S0C4.

Problem conclusion

  • Module FABZGDBD is changed to always load DBDLIB and DYNLIB
    members NOREUSE. The directory entries are obtained with
    BLDL, the REUSE/RENT bits are set OFF, and the members are
    then loaded with the DE= option.
