Comments

  • 1. This APAR improves the management of storage pools
enhancing the reporting of out-of-storage conditions
brought about by system constraints such as the
       MAXSOC limit, region size etc
    2. Message CEX5019I has been enhanced as follows:
CEX5019I Active session information was not saved due
       to unavailable storage for pool=SOCKET,
IMS Connect MAXSOC=nn, current number of active
       sessions=nn, RSN code=0001021A
Explanation: This is an information message indicating that
one of the storage pools used to contain information about
active sessions has encountered the condition shown in the
message. The storage pool name is provided in the message.
System Action: Processing continues. This is an information
message. In some cases the message can indicate that
information about an active session may have been lost as it
cannot be saved in the named storage pool.
If the pool type is SVT, other messages may appear and some
CEX functions may be impacted or unavailable for the duration
    of the storage shortage.
User Response: The reason code in the message provides
additional information about the error for product
support personnel. Reason code=00000215 indicates that the
expansion of a pool failed so
increasing the region size may resolve the problem.
