You can select whether the image copy data set is created for the OSAM database which is not formatted. It includes Advanced Copy Services. This APAR also includes fixes for following problems of HPIC V4R1 Checkpoint Restart function: - HPIC Image Copy restart function fails in IMS DB Un-Authorization process of previously successful image copies at the time of the checkpoint. Because the status of IMS DB Un-Authorization process at the time of checkpoint is not updated to CHKPTDD data set. - When the FASTIC=(,COPY) is requested, HPIC Image Copy restart function terminates with ABEND U3933 ( ABENDU3933 ) of previously successful image copies at the time of the checkpoint. Because the status that the image copy is successfully completed at the time of checkpoint is not taken from CHKPTDD. - HPIC Image Copy restart function reports the Image Copy Statistics Report of previously successful image copies at the time of the checkpoint. Note: If you get the message ADR730W of DFDMDdss for VSAM database in the process of Fast Recovery Format (FASTIC=COPY) of the Advanced Copy Services in Image Copy function, you should run VERIFY command against created image copy data set after the image copy process.
