Error description
Subtask commands to the Performance Expert Server subtask (PESERVER) change in fact none of Snapshot history intervals contrary to the data provided by the DISPLAY subtask command. All the intervals always keep values set in corresponding startup parameters of PESERVER once it get started. See details in the topic "Subtask commands to Performance Expert Server" in the manual "OMEGAMON XE PE/PM... "Configuration and Customization".

**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: OMEGAMON XE for DB2 PE/DB2PM * * users of component: * * - CUA Interface * * - ISPF Monitoring dialogs * * - Performance Expert Client * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: All snapshot history intervals can not * * be changed dynamically per MODIFY,..., * * interval=(Y,n) operator command, * * whereas they seem to be changed to * * PESERVER administrator when the * * administrator reviews the parameters * * per MODIFY,...,DISPLAY operator * * command. Performance Expert client and * * ISPF Monitoring Dialogs indicate * * previously specified values * * for all the intervals though. * * * * For V310: * * The service level of the * * OMEGAMON server subtask PESERVER * * FPEV0000I DATA SERVER INITIALIZATION * * FPEV0114I PTF BUILD IS 07.184 * * * * For V410: * * The service level of the * * OMEGAMON server subtask PESERVER * * FPEV0000I DATA SERVER INITIALIZATION * * FPEV0114I PTF BUILD IS 07.183 * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: Apply this PTF. * **************************************************************** Besides the main problem specified in the Problem Description section it may take place the additional particular consequences, e.g: A try to modify dynamically one or some of the intervals listed per the MODIFY command may cause mistiming in the PESERVER - DB2 Server interaction and correspondingly bring up problems for DB2 data monitoring process.
