Error description
This APAR is opened to report that, if a /DBR for one of the DB's included in a STACK operation, HPIC bypasses that DB and continues Image Copy processing for the other DB'ss in the STACK. This creates an output tape that's not what the user expected. To correct this, HPIC will ensure that all DB's that are part of a STACK must be successfully /DBR'd before Image Copying the data bases.

Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All IMS High Performance Image Copy for z/OS * * Version 4 Release 1 users ( FMID=H1J0410 ) * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: HPIC V4R1 creates an output stacked * * image copy data set which is contrary * * to the user's expectations, if an error * * has occurred in one of the DBDSs. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the maintenance for this APAR. * **************************************************************** HPIC V4R1 creates an output stacked image copy data set which is contrary to the user's expectations, if an error has occurred in one of the DBDSs. When a user specifies STACK=ddname keyword in ICEIN control statement, all the image copies which are corresponding to the ddname should be stacked to the DD. So, if an error, such as failure of /DBR command has occurred in one of the DBDSs, HPIC stacking process must be stopped. But now HPIC continues stacking image copies of the other DBDSs that are processed normally, and creates partly stacked image copy data set. This is not what the user expected.
Problem conclusion
FABJCRC0 has been modified to stop succeeding process when an error has occurred. FABJTOI has been modified to set error flag in stacking control block when /DBR has failed. This error flag indicates that the stack DD is not to be processed. FABJDMPN has been modified to check error flag which is set in FABJTOI processing. If the error flag in a stacking control block is set, FABJDMPN considers that the DD needs not to process. FABJDFCN and FABJDPSN have been modified to bypass processing the stack DD which is flagged 'error'. FABJFCDN has been modified to avoid issuing the message for bypassed DBDS. The following modules have been reassembled. FABJDFC7, FABJDFC8, FABJDFC9, FABJDFCA, FABJDMP7, FABJDMP8, FABJDMP9, FABJDMPA, FABJDPS7, FABJDPS8, FABJDPS9, FABJDPSA, FABJFCD7, FABJFCD8, FABJFCD9, FABJFCDA
