Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All IMS High Performance Image Copy for z/OS * * Version 4 Release 1 users ( FMID=H1J0410 ) * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: HPIC V4R1 terminates with ABEND U3916 * * ( ABENDU3916 ), when one of the RECON * * data sets has failed in dynamic * * allocation. * * But HPIC should continue the process, * * if the other 2 RECON data sets have * * been allocated successfully. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the maintenance for this APAR. * **************************************************************** HPIC V4R1 terminates with ABEND U3916 ( ABENDU3916 ), when one of the RECON data sets has failed in dynamic allocation. Because HPIC does not consider the case where the other 2 RECON data sets are available. HPIC should continue the process, if the other 2 RECON data sets have been allocated successfully.
Problem conclusion
FABUARCN and FABJDALC have been modified to continue the process, if at least 2 RECON data sets are allocated. FABJMSGC has been modified to add information messages which describe dynalloc error. FABJARC0 has been reassembled. ======================== = DOCUMENTATION CHANGE = ======================== IMS High Performance Image Copy for z/OS Version 4 Release 1 User's Guide SC18-9409 ( SC189409 ) should be changed as follows: A.0 Appendix A.
