APAR status

Error description

• HP Load issues a message HPSR3774E and gets ABENDU3774
  when the following conditions are satisfied:
  1. APAR/PTF PK42361/UK23949 is applied for HP Load V2.
  2. The input unloaded file is allocated in tapes.
  3. The OS level is z/OS V1R6 or prior.
  The error message is as follows:
    HPSR3774E OBTAIN FAILED FOR DFSUINPT
  
  HP Load issues a message HPSR3611E and
  gets ABENDU3611 when the following
  conditions are satisfied:
  1. APAR/PTF PK42361/UK23949 is applied
     for HP Load V2.
  2. DB organization is (P)HDAM/OSAM or
     (P)HIDAM/OSAM and it has multiple
     partitions or multiple DSGs.
  3. One of the partitions/DSGs is
     allocated on multi-volumes and
     the bitmap block is placed on
     the second volume or later.
  4. Such a partition/DSG is reloaded
     with other partitions/DSGs.
  The error message is as follows:
    HPSR3611E SYNAD EXIT WAS INVOKED FOR
              A DIRECT WRITE

  This APAR fixes the following problems after applying APAR/PTF
  PK42361/UK23949 :
  - ABENDU3774 when the following conditions are satisfied:
    1. APAR/PTF PK42361 / UK23949 is applied.
    2. The OS level is z/OS V1R6 or prior.
    3. The data set displayed in the MSGHPSR3774E is allocated on
       tapes or SMS managed DASD.
    4. If the data set is allocated on SMS managed DASD, it
       resides on multi-volumes and has candidate volumes.
    In these conditions, the OBTAIN macro is issued for the data
    set with incorrect VOLSER.
  - ABENDU3611 when the following conditions are satisfied:
    1. APAR/PTF PK42361 / UK23949 is applied for HP Load V2.
    2. DB organization is (P)HDAM/OSAM or (P)HIDAM/OSAM and it
       has multiple partitions or multiple DSGs.
    3. One of the partitions/DSGs is allocated on multi-volumes
       and the bitmap block is placed on the second volume or
       later.
    4. Such a partition/DSG is reloaded with other
       partitions/DSGs.
    In these conditions, an error occurs in processing POINT macro
    for bitmap update, because the number of blocks is calculated
    incorrectly.
  

Problem conclusion

• The modules is modified to resolve the ABENDU3774 or ABNEDU3611.
