Error description

  • When two extract jobs for the same DBD but not the same areas
are submitted, one JOB gets FPX0153E OTHER UTILITY ACTIVE IN
AREA messages for the area that isn't specified.

Local fix

  • For now, don't run the jobs at the same time.

When two ODE jobs against areas of the same DB are executed
concurrently, one works properly, but the other ends with RC=12
and issues FPX0153E for an area that is not specified in this
job's FPXIN DD, but is specified in the normally ended job's
FPXIN DD.

Problem conclusion

  • This apar has been offered to make ODE retrieve DEDB information
using the area that is specified in the FPXIN DD, instead of the
area in AREALIST (the first area specified in the DBD source).
