Error description

• The DB2 Administration Tool AL line command did not support
  passing a empty string for RUN OPTIONS needed to remove options
  from a STORED PROCEDURE

Problem summary

  * USERS AFFECTED: Users of DB2 Admin Tool who issue AL command *
  *                 against  a procedure,  and attempt to change *
  *                 RUNOPTS to an empty string.                  *
  ****************************************************************
  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: AL command against a stored procedure   *
  *                      on the panel  ADB21O  and setting RUN   *
  *                      OPTIONS  to empty string on  ADB26COV   *
  *                      has no effect.                          *
  ****************************************************************
  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply The PTF.                               *
  ****************************************************************
  The user is unaware that in order to change the RUN OPTIONS
  option to the empty string, a minus sign ('-') is used.
  Blanking out the field causes the option to be omitted entirely,
  which has the effect of not changing the value for the option.
  

Problem conclusion

• The help panel (ADBH6COV) has been updated to indicate that a
  minus sign is used to set the option to the empty string, and
  a null or blank value is used to leave the value as is.
