* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: In the System State Information         *
*                      workspace from the System Status        *
*                      navigator item, Global Trace Active     *
*                      erroneously shows True for DB2 V7.1     *
*                      systems.                                *

* RECOMMENDATION: Apply this PTF                               *
****************************************************************
We assumed the existence of trace entry pointers in
a DB2 control block indicated the global trace was
active, but the trace entries contained zero values.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • Obtain the global trace indicators via a different
method, which inspects trace class information.
