APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The DB2 Object Comparision Tool does not apply the MASK for
  OWNER to MQT / Materialized Query Table definitions resulting
  in the MQT being flagged as changed.

Problem summary

  * USERS AFFECTED: Users  of Object Compare V71 and V72.        *

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Customer found that the OWNER MASK was  *
  *                      not applied to MQT's when one of the    *
  *                      object is unqualified resulting in the  *
  *                      MQT being flagged as changed.           *
  ****************************************************************
  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
  ****************************************************************
  1 - Two identical MQTs didn't compare the same when objects in
  the cata  log (sysview,text) or DDL are unqualified resulting in
  the MQT being flagged as changed.  2 - Unclear diagnostic for tw
  different mqts when token values  are the same but semantically
  different.  3 -  Wrong underlined target token in the Compare
  report if difference is found.
  

Problem conclusion

• The problem is fixed in DB2 Object Compare V7.1 and V7.2
