    * CTDS checkpoint tracking data sets. *

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    The SHOWID function for the Program Restart ISPF dialog does not
    always display valid information for the restart checkpoint ID
    field. In addition, the ISPF dialog should also allocate the
    CTX special options data set using the same storage attributes
    used by PRF to allocate the batch CTDS checkpoint tracking data
    sets.

Problem conclusion

  • Program Restart has been corrected to display the correct
    checkpoint ID information when the SHOWID action of the ISPF
    dialog function has been selected. In addition, the ISPF dialog
    function has also been changed to allocate the CTX special
    options data set with the same data set attributes as the CTDS
    checkpoint tracking data sets.
