Error description
When FASTIC=(PREF,DUMP) is specified, and the maximum number of concurrent sessions reaches it's maximum, HP Image Copy continues to process by direct Data Base Data Set access (normal image copy). But HPIC does not register the output IC data set into DBRC and terminates the process with RC=08. HPIC will now register the IC with DBRC, and complete with RC=0 for this situation.

When the FASTIC=(PREF,DUMP) is requested and the number of concurrent copy session reaches to maximum, the logical copy of concurrent copy phase fails but the physical copy phase continues to create image copy data set. But HPIC checks the return code from DFSMSdss at logical copy phase and regards the process as error.
Problem conclusion
FABJDFCN has been modified to check whether DFSMSdss physical copy process has completed or not. If physical copy has completed, HPIC considers that the Image Copy process has ended normally, even though return code of DFSMSdss is not zero. FABJFCDN has been modified to register Image Copy record into DBRC, when DFSMSdss physical copy has completed. The following modules have been reassembled: FABJDFC7, FABJDFC8, FABJDFC9, FABJDFCA, FABJFCD7, FABJFCD8, FABJFCD9, FABJFCDA ======================== = DOCUMENTATION CHANGE = ======================== IMS High Performance Image Copy for z/OS Version 4 Release 1 User's Guide SC18-9409 ( SC189409 ) should be changed as follows: A.0 Appendix A.
