APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • HP Load gets ABEND0C4 when reloading migration unload data with
    SORT=COND. This occurs because HP Load attempts to get the
    partition information in the unloaded data set to compare with
    that in the IMS control blocks. Since partition information is
    not included in unloaded data created by migration unload, HP
    Load accesses an incorrect area and gets the abend.

Local fix

  • For a workaround, specify SORT=YES instead of SORT=COND.

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    * USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM IMS High Performance Load *
    *                 for z/OS Version 2 Release 1 (FMID=H1IM210)  *
    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: HP Load gets ABEND0C4 when reloading *
    *                      migration unload data with SORT=COND.   *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the maintenance for this APAR. *
    ****************************************************************
    HP Load gets ABEND0C4 or an unexpected result when the input
    unloaded data set was created by HP Unload with CHECKREC option
    and any of the following conditions were met:

     - Migration Unload. (By using MIGRATE option)
     - Fallback Unload. (By using FALLBACK option)
     - One or more HALDB partitions were deleted before the reload.

    This occurs because HP Load attempts to get an information in
    the unloaded data set to compare with that in the IMS control
    blocks. Since the information is not included in unloaded data
    set, HP Load accesses an incorrect area and might get the abend.

Problem conclusion

  • The module HPSRRRI0/9 have been modified to refer the unloaded
    data set correctly.
