PK41773: MISSING SQL STATEMENT INFO FOR TSO BATCH OR DDF THREADS / CUA SCREEN HAS SQL COUNTS INFO THOUGH

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Customer reported not seeing sql statement info from CUA screen
  but there are values for the sql counts while running on the new
  ompe v310. The customer can see the sql stmt info when running
  the older om/db2 v520 release.
  .
  OM/DB2 v520 used ifcid124 to get the sql stmt, however, ifcid124
  only captures up to 4000 bytes of the sql stmt, so this could be
  a truncated sql stmt case.
  .
  With new om/xe db2pe v310 omegamon uses ifcid124 and then locate
  the matching ifcid316 and ifcid317 for the sql stmt info.
  Sometimes, There could be a timing window case that DB2 wouldnot
  have the data from ifcid316 there, thus Omegamon could not
  display the sql stmt data. This is when the sql statement is
  completed and then thread commits, the sql statement will no
  longer in the sql cache which is the DB2 limitation.

  Omegamon will try to detect this timing window case and change
  the logic to get the ifcid124 sql statement info so that we will
  have the sql statement info all the time though this may run
  into truncated sql stmt case potentially.

Problem conclusion

• Use available SQL text from ifcid 124 when SQL text is not
  avaialble from SQL cache.
