PK41452: ALC COMMAND LABEL AND COMMENT ON COLUMN RESULTS IN ADDITIONAL AL TER ON COLUMN ATTRIBUTES INCLUDING SET DATA TYPE AND DROP TABLE

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The DB2 Administration Tool ALC line command created LABEL ON,
  COMMENT ON and SET DATA TYPE ALTER statements when the user had
  used either the COM or LAB line command on panel ADB27C
  'ALTER Table'.
  In addition if the subsystem was a DB2 R810 running in
  Compatability Mode ( MODE(C) ) a table was dropped and reloaded.

  *                      ALC line command created LABEL ON,      *
  *                      COMMENT ON and SET DATA TYPE ALTER      *
  *                      statements when the user had used       *
  *                      either the COM or LAB line command on   *
  *                      panel ADB27C.                           *
  *                      In addition if the subsystem was at     *
  *                      DB2 V8 CM mode or earlier, then the     *
  *                      LAB/COM line commands caused the table  *
  *                      to be dropped instead of altered.       *

  incorrect.
