    *                      - HPIC Recovery function terminates     *
    *                        with ABENDS0C4 ( ABEND0C4 ) when      *
    *                        issues DBRC command 'GENJCL.RECOV'.   *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the maintenance for this APAR. *
    ****************************************************************
This APAR includes following IMS APARs:
    PK25717 (IMS V9)
    - HPIC recovery function issues message DFS0792A ( MSGDFS0792A )
and terminates with RC=8 when HPIC attempts forward recovery
      with the USEDBDS option.
HPIC does not permit the output data set to contain data
before applying change accumulation or log data when the input
      image copy is not provided.

    PK32035 (IMS V9)
    - The open error message DFS0730I A,10,09 was issued because
with Online Reorg active, the target data set was opened in
UPDATE mode when it should have been opened in LOAD mode.
PK25717 changed DFSURDB0 such that if there is no image copy
as input to DB Recovery, the target data set will be opened in
UPDATE mode. It should have also checked to make sure OLR is
not active before opening in UPDATE mode. Whenever OLR is
active, the target data set must be opened in LOAD mode.

    PK33060 (IMS V9)
    - DFSURDB0 calls open close in load mode to format the output
dataset of an OLR. The formatting does not include the
partition ID and reorg number. This causes DFS0730I reason
I,65 to be issued when DFSURDB0 next calls open close in
UPDATE mode because the partition ID and Reorg number in the
second CI of the dataset are both zero and DFSDDUI0 fails the
      open call.

This APAR includes following APAR of HPIC V4R1:
    PK39461
    - After applying APAR PK35197 to HPIC V3R2, HPIC abends
S0C1 ( ABEND0C1 ), when both DB record and DBDS record are
not requester in DBRC at Image Copy function. Because HPIC
mishandled RECON data set DCB that close it before fetching
next RECON record. Both DBD record and DBDS record are not
registered in DBRC with DBRC=Y is normal case. HPIC should
not process diagnostic record and should not close DCB
between fetching DBDS record and DB record.

Also, this APAR fixes following problem:
    - HPIC Recovery function terminates with ABENDS0C4 ( ABEND0C4 )
      when issues DBRC command 'GENJCL.RECOV'.
Because HPIC misses setting the address of parameter area for
      DBRC module.

Problem conclusion

  • FABJRDB9 has been modified to include the following IMS fixes:
    - PK25717
    - PK32035
    - PK33060

FABUARCN has been modified not to close DCB of RECON data set
when both DB and DBDS record are not registered.

FABJMAIN and FABJRCHK have been modified to distinguish whether
HPIC should process diagnostic record or not with new internal
    flag.

FABURRPD has been modified to add new internal flag which
indicates whether HPIC should process diagnostic record or not.

FABJDBRC has been modified to set correct address of parameter
    area for DBRC module.

The following modules have been reassembled.
      FABJDBR7 FABJDBR8 FABJDBR9 FABJORC7 FABJORC8 FABJORC9 FABJRCH7
      FABJRCH8 FABJRCH9
