APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • In DB2 Administration Tool installation steps it is necessary
to run ADB2CUST to perform various customization tasks. If the
SADBLLIB loadlib has been APF authorized, running ADB2CUST will
result in abend0c4 in adb2sys statement 86 .
.
Running ADB2CUST without APF authorization on SADBLLIB runs
without error.

Local fix

  • Run ADB2CUST with SADBLLIB not APF authorized.

*                      Additionally,abends in ADBCEST,ADBCCME, *
*                      ADB2CID and ADB2CVOB may occur. ADBTEP2 *
*                      resides below the line.                 *

* RECOMMENDATION: Apply The PTF.                               *

Certain load modules were not coded as re-entrant, causing abend
when they are loaded from an APF-authorized library.  ADBTEP2 wa
linked RMODE=24 which may lower the available region size.

Problem conclusion

  • ADBCEST and ADB2SYS were changed to run re-entrant.  ADBCCME and
ADB2CID were changed to link as RENT(NONE).  ADBTEP2 was changed
to RMODE=ANY.
