Error description
If an OLCSTAT data set formatted by IMS V8 or V9 is specified, DFR with IMS V10 issues a DFR1054E message and ends with an abend code U1054. This is a coexistence APAR for DFR with IMS V10 using an OLCSTAT DATA SET formatted by IMS V8/V9.

If the OLCSTAT data set formatted by IMS V8 or V9 is specified, DFR with IMS V10 issues a MSGDFR1054E message and ends with an abend code U1054.
Problem conclusion
The following module has been modified. DFRIGOCA - This module was changed so that the OLCSTAT data set formatted by IMS V8 or V9 might be used correctly. * ======================== = DOCUMENTATION CHANGE = ======================== IMS DEDB Fast Recovery for z/OS Version 2 Release 2 User's Guide and Reference (Document Number: SC27-0928-03) should be changed as follows. ================================================================ 5.0 Input and output for DFR under IMS V10 5.1 Understanding the required input 5.1.1 JCL requirements : OLCSTAT DD When OLC=G is specified in the EXEC parameter, specify the OLCSTAT data set of the IMS system that is to be recovered. Because DFR dynamically allocates the OLCSTAT data set that is specified in the OLCSTAT= parameter in the DFSCGxxx IMS.PROCLIB member or the DFSDFyyy IMS.PROCLIB member (xxx is the value specified in the CSLG= EXEC parameter, and yyy is the value specified in the DFSDF= EXEC parameter), you do not need to specify this DD statement. DFR uses this data set for the following purposes: - To determine the names of the ACB and MODBLKS libraries that were in use when the IMS system failed. - To check the status of the ACBLIB member OLC when the | IMS system failed. If, however, the OLCSTAT data set is | formatted by the previous version and release of IMS | other than IMS V10, it is not applicable. : : *
