Problem summary

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Users may notice an increase of DRF *
    * work data sets left allocated to *
    * storage even after the job ended. *

    ****************************************************************
DRF internally allocates several temporary work data sets
when other tools such as High Performance Image Copy, High
Performance Pointer Checker, and Fast Path DEDB Pointer Checker
are called by DRF. These work data sets are used to store
report output written from the other tools. At the end of a
recovery job, DRF will process the report output from these
data sets and delete them. During an abnormal termination of
the DRF job, however, the data sets are not deleted. This may
lead to a build up of work data sets in storage without the
    user's knowledge.

The DRF product is change to give the user the option to have
the work data sets generated by DRF to be deleted or retained
in the event of an abnormal termination or abend. By default,
these data sets will be deleted whenever the product's ESTAE is
entered. The user will have to option to override the default
if the data sets are needed for diagnostics purposes.

FRXEDRF, FRXEDRF0, FRXEPSS0, FRXEWSP, and FRXVWSP are changed
to provide a new RPTRET option for report work data set
retention. The default is set to NO.

    FRXMEST0, FRXMEST1, FRXMINI0, FRXMINI1, and FRXRVGB are changed
to call a data set deletion routine in an ESTAE if an abend
    occurs during a DRF run.

FRXRAUX and FRXRAUX0 are changed so that they can be called
    from an ESTAE.

    FRXGAPI0, FRXIOCN0, FRXIOSM0, FRXIVCN0, FRXIVSM0, FRXLBLD0,
    FRXMSTR1, FRXMTRM0, FRXMTRM1, FRXRAUA0, FRXRAUD0, FRXTAPI0,
    FRXTSIB0, FRXTSPR0, FRXUAPI0, FRXUPRE0, FRXUTIB0, FRXVRCV0,
FRXVSTA0, and FRXWRTN0 are recompiled to pick up macro changes.

The following DOC changes are required.

IMS Database Recovery Facility for z/OS,
    User's Guide and Reference Version 3 Release 1 (SC18940700)

In Chapter 3. Defining and tailoring the IMS Database Recovery
Facility environment, added the RPTRET option to the REPORT
    SYSIN control statement.

    REPORT ...
      ...
      RPTRET=N|Y
Indicates whether or not the REPORT work data sets are to
be deleted (N) or retained (Y) in the event of an abend.
Retaining these data sets may be helpful for diagnostic
purposes, however, if they are retained then it is up to
the user to delete them manually.
The default setting is N to have them deleted by DRF.
