Error description

• The DB2 Administration Tool WSL CLONE using an OVERWRITES
  definition PRIQTY:*.*,1% or SECQTY:*.*,1% can result in a
  PRIQTY / SECQTY of zero.

  * USERS AFFECTED: Users of DB2 Admin Tool attempting to do WSL *
  *                 CLONING using  an OVERWRITE definition  with *
  *                 small N % replacement of PRIQTY/SECQTY  will *
  *                 result in a PRIQTY/SECQTY of ZERO.           *
  ****************************************************************
  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: In WSL CLONING,  when  OVERWRITE value  *
  *                      is specified  in the form of the small  *
  *                      replacement  percentages ,  (Say 1% of  *
  *                      PRIQTY=12 & SECQTY=12)  will result in  *
  *                      PRIQTY/SECQTY  with value  ZERO (takes  *
  *                      floor of 0.12).  The  resulting  value  *
  *                      zero  for  PRIQTY/SECQTY  changes  the  *
  *                      logical  definition  and disallows DB2  *
  *                      to allocate exents.To build datacopies  *
  *                      with new size , say 1% of the original  *
  *                      ones, users have to edit  the DDL (WSL  *
  *                      Cloned), since the  WSL CLONE with the  *
  *                      OVERWRITES function  generates the DDL  *
  *                      with  PRIQTY/SECQTY to Zero and is not  *
  *                      automated in steps.                     *

  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the PTF.                               *
  ****************************************************************
  OVERWRITE value specified in small percentages,leading to Zero
  replacement value  of PRIQTY/SECQTY  will be  overwritten with
  default  value 1  for DB2 R710 , DB2  R810 Compatibility mode,
  Enabling - new function mode and New-function mode users.
  

Problem conclusion

• The problems have been fixed.
