PK39314: ABEND213-17 WHEN USING LARGE FORMAT DATASETS

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Two issues addessed with this APAR are:
  1) ABEND213 - 17 when using large format Datasets.
     IMS V10 added support for Large Datasets ( >64k tracks ).
  2) Connect and IMS logs may be used as input to some Connect
     reports, however the IMS logs are processed even if the
     report does not require them.
  
  This APAR is to add support for Large Datasets and only process
  IMS log files if combined Connect and IMS reports possible.

  2. All Log input files specified in the IMS PA JCL are
  processed regardless of whether validly required or not.
  

Problem conclusion

• 1. Add support for Large datasets (BLOCKTOKENSIZE=LARGE).
  2. Only process IMS log files if combined Connect and IMS
  reports possible.
