  • The DB2 Administration Tool UR line command fails SQLCODE -151
when attempting to update the SYSIBM.SYSCOLUMNS.FOREIGNKEY
column in a DB2 R810 running in Compatibility Mode.

*                 Version 8 Compatibility or Enabling the New  *
*                 Function mode on panel ADB21CUR.             *

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: SQLCODE -151 in panel ADB21CUR.         *

* RECOMMENDATION: Apply The PTF.                               *

The FOREIGNKEY column is no longer updateable in DB2 Version 8.
Apar PK02251 fixed  this  by removing  the column  from the SET
clause on panel ADB21CUR,but only for Version 8 NFM.The ability
to update the column needs  to be removed from ADB21CUR for the
Compat and ENF modes as well.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • The problem has been fixed. In addition, a problem found with
update of the FOREIGNKEY column in DB2 Version 7 on the panel
ADB21CUR is also fixed. on panel ADB21CUR is also fixed.
