  • The padding of null CHAR columns in Fastunload syntax was
    changed by APAR PK35385. It used to be x'00'. APAR PK35385
    changed it into x'40' (blanks).

    * USERS AFFECTED: Users of DB2 High Performance Unload.        *

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: - The padding of null CHAR columns in   *
    *                      Fastunload syntax was changed by APAR   *
    *                      PK35385. It used to be x'00'. APAR      *
    *                      PK35385 changed it into x'40' (blanks). *
    *                      - In FastUnload syntax, in              *
    *                      OUTPUT-FORMAT VARIABLE, when an INTO    *
    *                      clause redefines a variable length      *
    *                      column, the unloaded data was padded    *
    *                      to it's maximum length instead of being *
    *                      written as a variable field.            *
    *                      - When SORTKEYS &SORTKEYS is used in    *
    *                      the loadopt parameter, and when the     *
    *                      SELECT is processed by DB2, HPU         *
    *                      generates SORTKEYS0 instead of          *
    *                      SORTKEYS 0.                             *

    * RECOMMENDATION: APPLY the PTF.                               *
    ****************************************************************
    - Module inzctrlf was changed to process correctly the padding
    character in the 2 cases fixed.
    - Module inzctrlf was changed to process correctly the padding
    character in the 2 cases fixed.
    - Module inzrload was changed to generate the correct syntax in
    the LOAD sysin.
