PK37105: DB2PMSACCT_GENERAL TABLE, ADTOTC3N, ACCUMAC=2 ONLY ONE RECORD ISCOUNTED EVEN IT CONTAINS DATA FOR 2 THREADS

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• In the DB2PMSACCT_GENERAL table, there are three columns
  RECORDS_CLASSx where x is 1, 2 and 3
  A customer who runs accounting trace 1,2,3 and when they have
  ACCUMACC=NO, these columns have the same value.
  When they run ACCUMACC=2 (or some other number ) they see that
  the RECORDS_CLASS3 field is different
  ADTOTC3N is being increased in the accounting code but does not
  reflect yet the ACCUMAC counter which is set in QWACPCNT.
  Currently it counts only those records for which class 3 was on.
  Therefore for ACCUMAC=2 only one record is counted even it
  contains data for 2 threads.
  This affects the RECORD_CLASS3 values of the table but does not
  affect the Accounting Reports and Traces because they do not use
  ADTOTC3N.
  That's the reason why ADTOTC1N/RECORDS_CLASS1 and
  ADTOTC2N/RECORDS_CLASS2 show a higher (correct) value.

  THE CALCULATION OF FIELD ADTOTC3N WAS FORMERLY ONLY BASED ON
  COUNTING THE QWAC SECTIONS IF CLASS 3 WAS ON. NOW, IN CASE
  OF DDF/RRSAF THREAD DATA IT IS THE SUM OF QWACPCNT. SAME IS TRUE
  FOR ADTOTC23 WHICH SHOWS THE SUM OF QWACPCNT FOR RECORDS WHERE
  CLASS 2 AND 3 WAS ON.
  

Problem conclusion

• THE CALCULATION OF ADTOTC3N & ADTOTC23 HAS BEEN CHANGED. THIS
  ALSO AFFECTS THE VALUES OF COLUMNS RECORDS_CLASS3 &
  RECORDS_CLASS2_3 WHEN LOADING DATA AFTER THE PTF HAS BEEN
  APPLIED.
