Error description

  • In DB2 Administration Tool :bl2rlib nick.tag value points to DB2
RUNLIB. Customer found that using ALC to cause drop / create
scenario and choosing HPU unload method creates STEPLIB
concatenation that loses APF authorization due to inclusion of
the DB2 RUNLIB which is not APF authorized.

Error messages in the unload step appear similar to:
INZCE0322 ERROR : THE MODULE INZUTILB IS NOT APF AUTHORIZED
.
Possible Admin skeletons affected: ADB2UTH1 ADB2USH2 & ADB28HPU
.
Additional symptoms: msginzce0322 auth adb2cust

Local fix

  • Edit DB2 RUNLIB DD out of STEPLIB concatenation before job
execution.

Problem summary

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: DB2 RUNLIB was erroneously included in  *
*                      STEPLIB for HPU job.                    *

* RECOMMENDATION: Apply The PTF.                               *
****************************************************************
Removed DB2 RUNLIB from STEPLIB when HPU is selected as the
unload method.

Problem conclusion

  • The problems have been fixed.
