APAR status

Error description

  • Customer displays the number of Views in Admin using option 'V'
and then GEN's these views.  The number of views created is less
than the number originally displayed.

Local fix

  • Please apply PTF when available.

Problem summary

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The number of views processed by  GEN   *
*                      did not match the number of the views   *
*                      originally GENed.                       *
****************************************************************
* RECOMMENDATION: Apply The PTF.                               *
****************************************************************
When issuing the GEN primary command for a large number of
views, the  view specification in  the GEN  batch  job was
generated  incorrectly  for some views, causing them to be
excluded in the GEN process.

Problem conclusion

  • The problem has been fixed.  Users may see an improvement in
JCL build time due to internal design changes.
