PK34771: LONG NAMES USED ON GOC1TA TRYING TO ADD A TABLE FROM CATALOG IN GOC CAUSES NO ROWS RETURNED WHEN TABLE NAME LESS 18 CHAR USE

Obtain the fix for this APAR.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Customer uses option 1 = Specify compare source in Object
  Compare;  which takes them to panelid GOC1 where they choose
  option 2 = Source is from the DB2 catalog;  which takes them to
  panelid GOC12 where they choose option 3 = Source is tables
  from the DB2 catalog; which takes htem to panelid GOC1T. If they
  enter 'I' to they get panelid GOC1TA and specifiy a table name
  with 17 or 18 characters in length ( long name ) like this:
   Partial table name . . . . : T65164_TESTA_NOV15
  Then if they go back and try to add more tables but the names
  of the tables are less than 17 or 18 characters on GOC1TA
  example:  Partial table name . . . . : T65164_TESTb_NOV1
  .
  this error is returned:
  GOC1TA  --------------------- DSN8 Compare Add Tables
  Option ===>
  No rows returned
  All subsequent attempts to use the GOC1TA panel to retrieve
  data for any table name with a length of LESS THAN 18
  characters are unsuccefful and user gets NO ROWS RETURNED
