APAR status

Error description

  • The DB2 Administration Tool ALC command did not use all of the
user specified TEMPLATE definition for the ALULD/ALULDC TEMPLATE
as the UNIT is replaced by the values specified on panel ADB2UPA
'Batch Job Utility Parameters' fields 'Unit name' or 'Tape Unit'
depending on the size of the dataset.

Local fix

  • Manually change the UNIT

Problem summary

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The UNIT value specified in the ALULD   *
*                      template definition is ignored in the   *
*                      generation of an ALC WSL.               *

* RECOMMENDATION: Apply The PTF.                               *
****************************************************************
Although the UNIT value specified in the ALULD template
definition is saved in the pseudo-template table, it is
never retrieved nor acted upon.

Problem conclusion

  • In ADB27A, retrieve the UNIT value specified in the ALULD
template  definition, and modify the skeleton ADB27TUL to
display it.
