PK33876: WSL PROCESSING ADDING ADBPAUSE CAUSED RESTART ISSUE

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The DB2 Administration Tool allows users to EDIT WSL in panel
  ADB2W1S 'Show Work Statement List:' and panel ADB2W1
  'Work Statement List Library' to add the ADBPAUSE command.
  Depending upon how the command was added the restart of the
  WSL may skip the command following the ADBPAUSE.
  Additional search arg:

Local fix

• Use the VALIDATE feature on WSL panel ADB2W1 'Work Statement
  List Library' to check the WSL or review the inserted ADBPAUSE
  command to check.

  *                      with a missing  terminator character,   *
  *                      then all characters after ADBPAUSE up   *
  *                      to the next  terminator character are   *
  *                      treated as comments and ignored.        *
  ****************************************************************
  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply The PTF.                               *
  ****************************************************************
  ADBTEP2 and ADBTEPA have been changed to verify that there are
  no parameters  on an ADBPAUSE statement. If any parameters are
  present a sever error is generated and processing terminates.
  

Problem conclusion

• The problems have been fixed.
