APAR status

Error description

  • The DB2 Administration Tool panel ADB25TE 'Utility Template'
field 'DSN' is restricted to 72 bytes.
This restriction does not allow users to take full advantage of
all of the functionality of the TEMPLATE utility and is not
consistant with other DB2 Tools such as DB2 Automation.

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Users were  not  able to use  the valid *
*                      template dsn strings which were greater *
*                      than 71 bytes in length.                *

* RECOMMENDATION: Apply The PTF.                               *
****************************************************************
Allowed longer DSN strings in templates and wrap to new line in
JCL if needed.
