PK32311: INVALID UNIT PARM ON SYSREC DD GENERATED BY SKELETON ADB2UTH1 FOR UNLOAD DATASET

Error description

• In DB2 Administration Tool ALC of multiple tables with ALC ADD
  function that causes drop / recreate scenario for multiple
  tables results in an invalid UNIT parm when HPU unload method is
  used, and multiple units are required to fulfill the space
  allocation for SYSREC DD on the ULD dataset. Invalid UNIT parm
  appears as concatenated value for second and subsequent tables,
  appearing similar to the following for the 3rd table unloaded:

  Job comments show skeleton ADB2UTH1 is generating the invalid,
  concatenated unit count parameter in the ULD.Tnnn datasets.

Local fix

• Use unload method other than HPU option H .
  .
  Use BP parm to increase maximum primary allocation allowed per
  volume. Customer tried 65535 trks allocation to avoid unit count
  greater than 1 , which worked satisfactorily whenever data can
  be unloaded on a single volume. Problem only occurs when unit
  count exceeds 1 unit.
