APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • The "Defaults" panel has a field for entering the log reading
parallelism maximum, and the value should be entered as a two
digit number. If entered as a one digit number, an ABEND0C7
(S0C7) can occur while generating JCL. The obvious workaround
is to enter it as a two digit number (e.g., 02 rather than 2)
if this APAR is not yet applied.

If the value is left as 2, and the APAR is applied, the
"Defaults" panel must still be entered once thereafter and the
values saved. The APAR affects the code at the "Defaults" panel
level, requiring this entry into the "Defaults" panel prior to
successfully generating other JCL without a S0C7.

Local fix

  • Enter the log reading parallelism maximum as a two digit number
(e.g., 02 rather than 2) if this APAR is not yet applied.
