APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• IEC141I 013-4C and ABENDS013-4C received on FABYISM.
  The problem occurs when a sort utility other than DFSORT is
  used.  The error occurs because the block size of a dataset into
  which the sort program wrote messages was different from the
  block size used when HPPR tried to open the dataset.

  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the maintenance for this APAR.         *

  This APAR fixes the following two problems:
  
  1. A HPPR job gets ABENDS013-4C when the following conditions
  are satisfied:
   - The prefix resolution function is run by using a sort utility
     except DFSORT.
   - INDXMSG, LPLCMSG, or TWINMSG DD statement is not specified.
  
  2. Though the prefix resolution function with TYPE=IM or TYPE=LM
  tries to process a WF1 file on tape, a HPPR job receives
  MSGFABY2011E because the tape is not quickly mounted.
  
  The PIPE reader task is scheduled. However the PIPE writer task
  is not scheduled because HPPR waits for the WF1 file to open.
  As a result, a time-out occurs.
  

Problem conclusion

• 1. The module FABYIN10 has been modified so that the correct DCB
  information from a dataset into which a sort utility wrote
  messages is used.
  
  2. The module FABYURG0 has been modified so that the PIPE reader
  is scheduled after WF1 dataset is opened.
