    * message is also produced in job output: *
    *                      DSN U1032I DSNUGTDS - INVALID QUALIFIER *

    * RECOMMENDATION: Apply The PTF. *
    ****************************************************************
    The Alter Tablespace Redefine the panel ADB21SAJ generates and
    displays JCL template symbolic variables resolved if template
    type UTIL is used with PUNCHDDN toggled off (not Cleared) and
    UNLDDN is selected using the same template name.In other words,
    when UNLDDN is selected, the template symbolic variables should
    not be resolved when the JCL is created, only after the job is
    submitted.

Problem conclusion

  • It turns out that this has been a problem all along and was not
    result of the first PK28882 fix.What's happening was a TBSCAN in
    ADB2PTPL only searched for the template name when it should also
    be checking to see if it is also toggled ON/OFF switch. Note
    that the Clear option on PUNCHDDN circumvents the problem.
