Error description
This APAR will add to the functionality of ATF processing in two ways. 1) A new option "FLUSH=" has been added to the ATF options screen, ATRQ. The FLUSH option specifies the frequency (in seconds) at which ATF processing will write its internal buffers to the VSAM trace dataset. 2) The maximum value of the overall tracing interval has been increased in screen ATRQ. The value can now be specified for a period of up to 9998 minutes. Additionally, an unlimited trace interval can be indicated by specifying a TIME value of either 1440 or 9999. In order to enable this feature, usermod KO2MOD01 must be installed.

Comments
Enhancement: The usermod permits changes to the defaults and maximums used by ATF processing. One of those maximums is the maximum trace interval, which affects the 'TIME=' field on screen ZATRQ. By default, this maximum is 60 minutes. If you are happy with this limit then no further action is required after installing the PTF. However, in order to allow for unlimited tracing by users, USERMOD KO2MOD01 must be applied, and the maximum trace time value set to 9999. The updated USERMOD is found in the hilev.TKANSAM library. These actions are described in detail within the USERMOD itself. Once the USERMOD has been applied, users can then specify on screen ZATRQ either 1440 or 9999 to indicate an unlimited trace time, or any other value, which will be interpreted as an exact number of minutes. ---------------------- SYSMOD Title: Enhancements to ATF processing Keywords: ATF FLUSH TIME INTERVAL
