    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the maintenance for this APAR. *
    * This APAR level is required to run under *
    *                 IMS Paralell Reorganization for z/OS,        *
    *                 Version 3 Release 2 (FMID H25N320).          *
    ****************************************************************
    This APAR provides a new function to handle whether HP Load uses
    High Performance I/O driver depending on the libraries specified
    on the STEPLIB DD statement are APF-authorized.
    When the HPIO control statement is not specified and all the
    libraries specified on the STEPLIB are APF-authorized, HP Load
    will use HPIO driver. When the HPIO control statement is not
    specified and at least one library specified on the STEPLIB is
    not APF-authorized, HP Load will not use HPIO driver.
    When the HPIO control statement is specified, HP Load follows
    the specification.
    This function is effective under program HPSRRC00.

Comments

  • HP Load is modified to handle whether to use HPIO driver
    depending on the libraries specified on the STEPLIB DD statement
    are APF-authorized.

    ========================
    = DOCUMENTATION CHANGE =
    ========================
    IMS High Performance Load for z/OS Version 2 Release 1 User's
    Guide SC18-9222-01 ( SC18922201 ) should be changed as follows:

    2.2.3.12 HPIO control statement

    Specifies whether High Performance Load uses High Performance
    I/O Driver for output database data sets.

    | This control statement is optional. If you do not explicitly
    | specify this control statement, the value for the HPIO option
    | is determined as follows: If the libraries specified on the
    | STEPLIB DD statement are not APF-authorized, HPIO=NO will be
    | used; otherwise, HPIO=YES will be used.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------
    APPENDIX1.3 Appendix C. Message and Codes
    APPENDIX1.3.3.1 High Performance Load Messages
    ----------------------------------------------------------------

    | HPSR0105W HPIO= IGNORED BECAUSE OF THE DEFINITION FOR IPR
    | DRIVER
    | Explanation: HPIO= specification for reload task is ignored
    | because the definition for IPR Driver is preceded.
    | System Actions: HP Load continues processing.

    | HPSR3759I HPIO IS NOT USED BECAUSE AT LEAST ONE LIBRARY IS
    | NOT AUTHORIZED
    | Explanation: High Performance I/O (HPIO) is not used in
    | subtasks because at least one library is not APF authorized,
    | System Actions: HP Load continues processing.
    | Programmer Response: If you want to use HPIO, you must
    | APF-authorize all libraries in the STEPLIB DD concatenation.

    | HPSR3763E PARTITION ASSIGNED IS OUTSIDE THE RANGE FOR
    | REORGANIZATION
    | Explanation: The assigned partition is outside the range of
    | the partitions specified by the PARTITION control statement in
    | the REORG block.
    | System action: Module HPSRRLDM issues a user 3763 abend.
    | Programmer response: Review the PARTITION control statement
    | and rerun the job.
    | Problem determination: None.
