Error description

  • Generate message in syslog for AFOper to trap when Omegamon DB2
snapdump occurs.

This will allow generation of SVC dump as soon as problem
occurs for debugging purposes.

When VTAM sessions encounter "recoverable" program exceptions,
insufficient diagnostic information is "captured" by the
SNAP Dump provided.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • Provide SVCDUMPs instead of SNAP Dumps and include DUMP
ANALYSIS and ELIMINATION (DAE) and LOGREC support.
Note: O2SNAP DD statement is still required in proclib member.
