Error description

  • If multiple web modules with same web-uri but use different
    context-roots , the context root for the first module is ignored

Problem summary

    * USERS AFFECTED: Websphere Application Server users of        *
    *                 version 6.1 who try installing an            *
    *                 application with web modules that contain    *
    *                 an alt-dd.                                   *
    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Web modules with alt-dd cannot have     *
    *                      different context root.                 *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    When installing an application with web modules that contain
    an alt-dd, the context root in the alt-dd is not recognized.
    

Problem conclusion

  • We have made the required code change to recognize the
    context root in the web modules alt dd.
    The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
    fixpack  6.1.0.1
