Error description
The SLLOCRAT field is a derived field, it's formula is the following: SLLOCRAT = ((QTGSLSLM - QTGSLPLK) / QTXALOCK) * 100. . We receive a value (29.4 or 40.8) when QTGSLSLM is greater than QTGSLPLK. But in some case, we have the opposite, this means that we receive a negative value, here the incorrect snapshot is: QTGSLSLM = 870
Local fix
QTGSLPLK = 1032 QTXALOCK = 5230 SLLOCRAT = ((870 - 1032) / 5230) * 100 = -3.09 Before returning the value to the PEClient, a format is done by the server, and it does not handle correctly the negative values. That's why it returns '******'.

"L-locks propagated to XES (%)" * * field of the Statistics Details/Data * * Sharing Locking window of * * Performance Expert client shows * * '******' for negative values. * * 2. The same issue concerning * * Omegamon Server on host in Batch * * Statistics and Accounting report, * * trace output. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * ****************************************************************
Problem conclusion
The ratios SLLOCRAT = (QTGSLSLM - QTGSLPLK) / QTXALOCK) * 100 and ALLOCRAT = (QTGALSLM - QTGALPLK) / QTXALOCK) * 100 being displayed on DB2 Performance Expert Workstation Client under the "L-locks propagated to XES (%)" label now correspondingly replaced by the ratios SLLOCRAT = (QTGSLSLM / (QTGSLPLK + QTXALOCK) * 100 and ALLOCRAT = (QTGALSLM / (QTGALPLK + QTXALOCK) * 100 under the label "P/L-locks propagated to XES synchronously(%)". The new ratios are supposed to be more informative for DB2 administrators. Values being calculated with the aid of the new formulas placed in Batch Statistics report and trace output under the label 'P/L-LOCKS XES RATE (%)'
