Error description

  • HPIC Recover regards a batch IC as FASTIC COPY if 'FC1'
qualifier is used in input IC data set name because the 'FC1"
qualifier is required for FASTIC COPY. This APAR will allow
HPIC to remove this restriciton, and Recovery and Create
Image Copy function can use IC data set that includes FC1
qualifier in its DSN and IC format is not FASTIC.

    * image copy, when the data set name *

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
HPIC Recovery function and Create Image Copy function regards
standard format image copy as fast recovery image copy, when the
data set name contains qualifier 'FC1' or 'FC2'. Because HPIC
determines the type of input image copy by these qualifiers
    which required in FASTIC=COPY process.
This APAR will remove this restriction for fast recovery image
copy data set name. And HPIC can determine the type of image
    copy without those qualifier correctly.

Problem conclusion

  • FABJCRC0, FABJRDB7, FABJRDB8 and FABJRDB9 have been modified to
check organization of input image copy data set and determine
type of image copy in new method.
These modules have been also modified not to search input image
copy data set name for qualifier 'FC1' and 'FC2'.

FABJCRC1 has been modified to change timing of dynamic
allocation for input image copy data set.

FABJCRC3 has been modified not to search input image copy data
set name for qualifier 'FC1' and 'FC2'.

FABJDFCN has been modified to allow fast recovery image copy
data set name without qualifier 'FC1' or 'FC2'.

FABJMSGC has been modified to add new message.

    FABJDFC7, FABJDFC8 and FABJDFC9 have been reassembled.
