    ****************************************************************
HPIC V4R1 supports GROUP processing of DBDSGRP defined as DB
    group or RECOV group.

This APAR also includes fix for following problem:
    - HPIC Create Image Copy function terminates with ABEND S0C1
( ABEND0C1 ), when the input image copy data set is allocated
by JCL DD statement and HPIC V4R1 PTF UK14116 ( APAR PK23701 )
      is applied.

Comments

  • FABJBLKD has been modified to add the new symbols for group
    process.

FABJMAIN and FABJCRC0 have been modified to close the DBD
library after processing of the group record in the DBRC.

FABJDBDN has been modified to get the information of DEDB areas
from DBD library, when the AREA= keyword is not specified in the
    ICEIN control statement.

FABJDBRC has been modified to get the group member name of DBGRP
    and RECOVGRP in the DBRC.

FABJMSGC has been modified to add a new message.

FABJRCHK has been modified to bypass the logic that treats the
    DBGRP as an error.

FABJRPT0 has been modified to report the group type for DBGRP
    and RECOVGRP.

FABJCRC0 and FABJCRC1 have been modified to bypass the logic
that checks VOLUME sequence numbers, when the input image copy
data set is allocated by the JCL DD statement.

IMS High Performance Image Copy for z/OS Version 4 Release 1
    User's Guide SC18-9409-00 ( SC18940900 ) should be changed as
    follows:

    1 Chapter1. Introduction
     1.1 HPIC Various Functions
      1.1.1 Image Copy Function
       1.1.1.8 Database Group Processing

<DEL> Note: HPIC does not support a DBDS group defined as a DBD
      type member.
    <ADD>
    | Note: If you use DB group type of DBDS group, you consider
    | following things:
    | - DB group must indicate DBD name or partition name of HALDB
    | that is registerd in DBRC.
    | - When DB group indicates AREA name, HPIC ignores it.

     1.5 Restrictions
1.5.2 Restrictions on the Image Copy Function

    <ADD>
    | If you use DB group type of DBDS group, you consider
    | following things:
    | - DB group must indicate DBD name or partition name of HALDB
    | that is registerd in DBRC.
    | - When DB group indicates AREA name, HPIC ignores it.

    2 Chapter2. Operating Instructions
     2.3 Input
      2.3.4 HPIC Control Statements
       2.3.4.3 IC/AIC Statement

      Mandatory keywords:
       DBD=
<DEL> AREA= (if DEDB is to be copied)

       2.3.4.4 CIC/ACIC Statement

      Mandatory keywords:
       DBD=
<DEL> AREA= (if DEDB is to be copied)

       2.3.4.6 CRC Statement

The CRC statement invokes the Create Image Copy process for
the specified image copy data set of the database data set or
the area data set. The CRC statement requires the DBD=
    | parameter.
<DEL> and the DDN= or the AREA= parameter.

The following keywords are mandatory in CRC statement:
    <DEL> Either AREA= or DDN=
       Either ICOUT= or STACK=

    | DBDSGRP | CAGRP | DBGRP | RECOVGRP
    | The group name of the DBDSGRP, DBGRP, RECOVGRP or CAGRP that
is processed. When the Image Copy function is not processed
in groups, this item is not reported.

      2.4.5 Create Image Copy Report

The Input image copy data set information shows the following
      information:

      DBD
The name of the processed DBD.
      DDN | AREA
The ddname of the processed DBDS or the area name.
    <CHG>
    | DBDSGRP | CAGRP | DBGRP | RECOVGRP
    | The group name of the DBDSGRP, DBGRP, RECOVGRP or CAGRP that
is processed. When the Create Image Copy function is not
processed in groups, this item is not reported.

Appendix A. Return Codes, Abend Codes, and Messages
     A.3 Messages

    The message FABJ0191I is added.

    | FABJ0191I GROUP MEMBER DBD=dbdname IN GROUP NAME=grpname IS
    | NOT REGISTERED WITH DBRC
    |
    | Explanation: A member of DBD=dbdname in a GROUP NAME=grpname
    | is not registered with DBRC.
    | Note: If you use DB group type of DBDS group, you
    | consider following things:
    | - DB group must indicate DBD name or partition
    | name of HALDB that is registerd in DBRC.
    | - When DB group indicates AREA name, HPIC ignores
    | it.
    | System action: Program FABJMAIN ignores the member and
    | continues processing.
    | Programmer response: None.
