• This APAR is an enhancement that provides the following new
  options for Integrity Checker:
  
  1. New option to specify whether Integrity Checker automatically
  creates an RDE during the first access to a database.
  
  2. New option to specify whether Integrity Checker abnormally
  ends when its initialization fails.

  This APAR enhances LIU Integrity Checker as follows:
  
  1. Add a new option RDEBUILD= to a global option module. You can
     choose whether to let Integrity Checker automatically create
     an RDE.
  
  2. Add a new option INITERR= to a global option module. You can
     choose whether to let Integrity Checker end abnormally when
     its initialization fails.
  
  You can create a global option module with these new options by
  specifying them in the SYSIN input stream of the FABLPGEN job.

  |  batch job.

  |  If the initialization of Integrity Checker fails, it issues a
  |  warning message and stops its processing. The IMS online
  |  subsystem or the IMS batch job continues processing without
  |  the Integrity Checker function. However, Integrity Checker
  |  ends abnormally if errors happen before the effective value
  |  for this option is decided. The errors are the load failures
  |  of the following modules:
  |   o FABLRDRx (x: 8 or 9)
  |   o FABLWM0
  |   o FABLAI0
  |   o Global option module

  |Explanation: The LIU integrity checker could not successfully
  |complete its initialization. The LIU integrity checker
  |processing was stopped, because INITERR=W was specified in the
  |global option module.

  |System action: The IMS online subsystem or the IMS batch region
  |continues processing without the LIU integrity checker function
  |
  |Problem determination: Read the preceding messages that explain
  |the error conditions.
  |
  |Programmer response: If necessary, correct the error conditions
  |and restart the IMS online subsystem or rerun the batch job.
