PK26092: DBRF DOESN'T SEEM TO RECOGNIZE CI SIZE OF AN HDAM DATABASE

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• I have an HDAM database that I cannot access using IMS DB Repair
  Facility. The traces seem to show that DBRF is confused over the
  CI size of the database. IMS can access the database therefore
  something about the data base seems worng to DBRF.

  On the Update libraries panel (FABZP02), the List of DB
  data set names is entered in lieu of the Dynamic allocate
  library.  The subsequent edit panel used to enter the list
  expects each DSN to be unquoted and fully qualified.  If
  quotes are present, processing of TSO LISTC and SYSDSN
  commands fail and the CI SIZE value assigned is therefore
  incorrect.
  

Problem conclusion

• If necessary, each DSN in the list of DB DSN's will be
  converted to the proper format making unclosing quotes
  optional.  Unquoted and fully qualified remains as the
  preferred format.
